Brick Oven Operator | 3-Shift System

Are you someone who enjoys working with fire and has an interest in technology? For a brick factory, we are looking for an oven operator (stoker) responsible for the brick firing process.
This is a crucial role within the ceramic industry, combining technical insight with process control.

Your tasks:

As an oven operator, you are responsible for the proper functioning of the oven installation. Your tasks include:

• Operating the oven (setting temperature, atmosphere, and conveyor speed)
• Continuously monitoring the firing process and the quality of the bricks (shape, color, and hardness)
• Identifying and resolving minor malfunctions in the oven and transport systems
• Performing quality checks on the final product
• Carrying out basic maintenance and cleaning tasks
• Managing the movement of the flame and supplying coal

Requirements:

• You speak Dutch and English
• You have a technical mindset and work accurately
• You are willing to work in shifts
• You are comfortable with physical work and warm conditions
• You already live in the Netherlands (this position does not include housing)

Our offer:

You will work in a 3-shift system with rotating shifts:

• 06:00 – 14:00
• 14:00 – 22:00
• 22:00 – 06:00
• You will rotate shifts daily
• After a night shift, you will always have one day off
• You will work two weekends per month

Salary: €18.00 – €19.00 per hour (excluding allowances)
Allowances:

• Saturday: 150%
• Sunday: 200%
• Work in a stable production environment

Company details:

You will be working at a brick factory with nearly 100 years of history, where craftsmanship and tradition are central. Bricks are still produced using traditional methods in a coal-fired ring oven.
