For our client in Haps, we are looking for cleaners and washers for road construction and earthmoving machines. As a Heavy Equipment Cleaner, your main responsibility is to ensure construction machinery and tools are properly cleaned, maintained, and safe to use. You will work with various types of equipment contaminated with concrete, asphalt, tar, and other construction materials.
Your tasks:
- Cleaning construction machines (e.g. excavators, concrete mixers, asphalt pavers) using water pressure systems, scrapers, solvents, and other specialized tools
- Removing hardened concrete, asphalt, or tar from machine surfaces, joints, and moving parts
- Using industrial cleaning agents and chemical solvents (such as degreasers, descalers, or concrete softeners) safely and effectively to dissolve tough residues
- Storing, handling, and disposing of hazardous substances in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines
- Reporting any defects, damage, or mechanical issues to supervisors or mechanic
- Wearing and maintaining appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times, especially when working with corrosive or flammable cleaning chemicals
Requirements:
- You possess a serious and dedicated work ethic
- You are willing to be available for the long-term
- You can stand for extended periods
- You are in good physical health and capable of handling physically demanding work
- While experience is a plus, the most important factor is your willingness to work hard and learn new skills
- Proficiency in English or Dutch
- A driver’s license is a plus
- Prior experience in a similar role is helpful but not an absolute requirement
